100 Days of Making Comics Day 45

1/26/2021 - Day 45: Spent an hour and 40min rewriting pieces and adding to the Endstar Arrival script. Today was mostly spent doing chores around the house; some days are like that. But even so, I kept brainstorming and wrote out how the robots [and that giant robot dragon thing that I designed earlier] might fit into the story. I made a few thumbnail sketches too.

Progress Screenshot: [Yep, enjoy my non-legible loose thumbnail sketches. Major spoiler warning. Haha, just kidding.]

[Really, I am kidding.]

Other Notes:

  • Today's random interesting animal(s): Is Pavo muticus, the Green peafowl from Southeast Asia. It's one of the three peafowl species in the world. [The other two being the Indian peafowl and the Congo peafowl, which belongs to its own genus.]
    • Where I'm from, the peafowl that people are familiar with is the Indian peafowl (Pavo cristatus) which is a fairly common bird among aviculturists, and also the neighborhood roadside depending on where you live.
    •  The Green peafowl is less common however, and with declining wild populations, it's actually classified as endangered by the IUCN.
    • It is a beautiful bird, with green iridescent scale-like feathers all along its neck, and males, have an eyespot covered upper tail that can reach 2 meters. Unlike the Indian peafowl, both males and females share a very similar external appearance. Which makes it difficult to tell them apart outside of the breeding season, when males shed their extra long train of tail feathers.
    • As for their visual and aesthetic appeal; they are indeed one of my favorite birds to just look at, even if only in pictures. Though it would be really neat to see them in person. Their graceful build, lengthy mesmerizing tails, and long neck covered with iridescent feathers makes them look something like a fantasy bird; like the shape of some oriental phoenix [which in many depictions does appear to be largely pheasant inspired.]

    1. Peafowl = peacock. It's just another word for the same bird. Haha, thanks, fixed the tools listed, accidentally posted the tools that I usually use.
